Hi! It has been a while hasn’t it? I have been very conflicted lately as to whether or not I would like to continue blogging. Every day that has past with no posting, I have been thinking about posting. Thinking about ideas I would love to post about, things to introduce you to, collages, pictures of the kiddos, but for some reason, I have not been able to open my laptop and do any of it. Earlier this week, I actually opened my computer and was prepared to write my signing off letter. I decided that since I was thinking about it so much with no action, that must mean I am done mentally. When I began to type, I felt my mind writing the words, but my hands were not typing. Right then and there I decided it was not time. And instead, it jolted me forward into wanting to resume consistent posting and become a “blogger” again.

I am still tossing around ideas in my mind and trying to decide what type of blog I would like this to be. In the mean time, I would love to start sharing some of our life and my thoughts and favorite things with you, and I hope you will jump back on The Treasure Hunt bandwagon with us. I am not sure where this ride will lead, but I am excited to find out.

So what have we been up to lately? Well, as you can see from above, John has been growing like a weed. He is the sweetest little guy and smiles all of the time. He is currently standing up and crawling and beginning to get into everything. William is the best big brother and so sweet and kind with his little brother. Once John began sitting up, William has become more interested in his brother and they now play together which just makes my hear skip a beat. William is fully potty trained [amen] and his favorite movie is Cars and we have a full blown obsession going on over here. Unfortunately for me, one of his Lightening McQueen cars ruined all of my hardwood floors [insert monkey with hands over eyes emoji]. He loves to sing the ABC’s and Twinkle Twinkle “wittle” star and best of all, he says “I wuv you mama” all of the time. Swoon.

April was filled with lots of travel on the east coast. We were able to spend quality time with lots of friends and family which we cherish so much. Currently we are back in Texas and we have a couple fun trips planned this summer to Colorado, Sea Island, Austin [for my little brother’s wedding!!!], and  hopefully I will be able to squeeze in a girls trip with my best friends.

Plain and simple, life is good. Very good. We are enjoying this time in our lives with our two sweet boys so much. Watching your children grow is truly the definition of bittersweet.

Well, enough for now, but I am really glad that I am finally about to press publish for the first time in a long time.

  1. So excited to see what’s to come! I always love your posts. You think you’ll have time to put together a post throughout the day or during nap time, but the days go by in a flash. Great work, momma!

you are too sweet! sorry i am just seeing these comments. and now i plan to be back for a while and definitely will do a post on potty training. william still wears a pull up at night because he loves to chug water right before he goes to bed. i think until we can cut that out completely he will continue to wear one at night time. xo M

I check back here from time to time and love seeing the great pics. Fully potty trained is awesome! Maybe you can share how you got the nighttime training done. CJ does great during the day but is still in a pull up at night. I’m almost too scared to even try! Lol
