PALMETTO MEDICAL CLINIC | UGANDA

Well folks, I must say thank you. As promised in this post, with your help, A TREASURE HUNT is officially helping those in need. Across the world to be exact! I decided to make A TREASURE HUNT’S first charitably donation based on the amount of commission the blog has received from affiliate links, thus far. Together, we donated $500 to help my high school friend, Coley, and her fundraising goal for her upcoming mission trip with Palmetto Medical Clinic this coming May.

Coley is traveling to Uganda with the Palmetto Medical Clinic team as a non-medical volunteer and she has a fundraising goal of $3650 [not including the $700 vaccination she will need prior to the trip]. These costs not only cover her travel expenses but also SO much more including the clinic supplies, antibiotics for patients, continuous clinical costs (to keep the clinic open year round), and more.

Coley pointed me to the Palmetto Medical Initiative website which gives a greater idea of the amazing things being done in these poor countries. “This year alone, and this is only their 5th year, PMI will raise over $500,000 to go straight to the clinics that they have built. It truly is amazing,” says Coley.

So friends, I ask you to consider helping Coley reach her goal to provide significant help to those in Uganda. Click on this link to donate to Coley’s fundraising page. Also, she is going with her sister so feel extra giving and donate to her fundraising link as well. You can also, directly donate to the fund here. As Coley pointed out, “Every penny counts in this country as most people live off less than $2 per day!! In the week that we run clinic, we will most likely treat over 1400 patients!”

EVERY PENNY COUNTS! So even if you only have $5 to spare, I assure you it will help in more ways that you know!

Thank you again for helping my dreams of making A TREASURE HUNT more than just a lifestyle blog. It is truly turning into a platform to help those in need, far beyond our every day reach. I am so thankful from the bottom of my heart for all of the readers who have supported me on this journey. I know 2014 will be a BIG year and I know together, we will make a difference.
